WHO WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING?
Employees, patients, and visitors of the NSHN Blind River site or Huron Shores Family Health Team (HSFHT) will be required to pay for parking. The Family Health Team building shares its parking lot with the NSHN Blind River site. As there is no reserved parking for the Family Health Team, all patients will be required to pay upon exit.
The parking lots at the NSHN in Thessalon and Richards Landing are owned and maintained by organizations other than the NSHN so there are no parking fees.
ARE THERE TIMES I WILL NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING?
Special considerations have been made for parking. These include:
Overnight emergency room patients: patients that seek emergency care after regular hours
Special events: some events, such as the Auxiliary’s Tree of Lights, will have free parking during event hours
Holidays: on designated holidays, all day free parking will be available; these days will be posted in advance.
HOW WILL I PAY FOR PARKING?
The barriers will accept regular coins, parking tokens and parking passes for payment. A coin machine is located inside the main entrance of NSHN Blind River site which is able to convert bills to coins; parking tokens and passes will be available for purchase at the Admitting desk.
DO VOLUNTEERS HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING?
Once Volunteers have completed the sign in form found at Admitting, they will be given a parking token when they present for their duties. You will have no parking fee as a result of being a NSHN volunteer.
