MEDICAL IMAGING
The Medical Imaging Department uses X-Rays and/or Ultrasound that aid in the diagnosis of diseases, conditions and/or treatment. All 3 sites have qualified Medical Radiation Technologists who are registered with the CMRITO.
Our department utilizes many internal, as well as external partnerships. Within the hospital we work with managers and staff of the emergency department, acute care unit and long term care unit, health information services, information technology, on site physicians, and specialists. As for outside the site, our position between Sault St. Marie and Sudbury allows us to work with physician and nurse practitioner clinics, vascular clinics, and cancer clinics in larger hospitals and along the North Shore.
